Of course police claim they do not break the laws to enforce the laws but we see it all the time. Often these actions put other people at risk. An example of that is the fact that many police cars drive around without lights, DRL.

Now that all cars have these lights we count on them to judge speed/time/distance. Add in the fact that those same cars are not bound by the other laws and it is easy to "cut one off". While the police driver thinks that is what happens. It isn't they, like all faster drivers, should accept the responsiblity of driving fast and accept when such things happen.

Today we fear the police, tomorrow?

My grandfather was Thomas Knight, the first Sgt. Major of the Ottawa police force. He was a TRAFFIC COP and naturally the typical image of an immigrated Irish Catholic. So, grandma beared him 14 children, though not all lived. He was a founder of the original all Ontario Policeman's Union, which is why policeman have the benefits they and their families have today.

If policemen get away with speeding...and they have, it's the politics. Even MOM pulled over an officer in Ottawa once, FOR SPEEDING ! I asked her about it and she mentioned the politics. Grandpa Knight was offered the promotion to Chief of police for the Ottawa force. HE REFUSED IT, so they created the rank of Sgt. Major for him. He refused the promotion due to politics. He said he didn't want others to use his good name and credability to further their own agenda.
One agenda of many !!!
Now this audience knows that kind of politics is still alive and well in Ottawa.
Learning about grandpa taugh me another lesson in the politics of Ottawa.
One interesting point of the family history, is when Thomas Knight got a ticket for a ship to immigrate here, his buddy couldn't get one, so he sold it to some unfortunate and they both took the next ship over from Ireland. The buyer of that ticket was unfortunate because it was for the TITANIC. Anyone want to guess the real reason why the Titanic was sunk? To stop interference against the NWO banksters from gaining the votes during the Chrstmas break of 1913 for the takeover of US central banking by the Federal Reserve. Today....the SAME THING has already happened in Ottawa, and our politicans like McGuinty are breaking all spending records, as we witness within a three week period this year of unpresidented resignations of CEO's, CFO's and Police Chief's in the US and Canada. Obviously politics is alive and well. Gee...I wonder what our former prime minister and top Canadian asset salesman Mr. Brian M. thinks of all these resignations? Oh that's right, he still has a job. Well, being such a great salesman, I guess he could afford a traffic ticket if he ever got one. Oh thats right...there's that politics thing again.
